THYRAGE is a EC funded H2020 research project that will investigate the effects of thyroid hormone on a wide range of age-related diseases, including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, neurological disorders and sarcopenia. Knowledge generated in this innovative project is needed to develop new strategies to prevent and treat these diseases in the elderly.

Monica Dentice awarded the ETA Harrington-De Visscher Prize for seminal discoveries in thyroid hormone action on target tissues
Monica Dentice, senior researcher within THYRAGE, has been awarded the prestigious Harrington-De Visscher Prize of the European Thyroid Association (ETA) for her seminal discoveries linking alterations in cell-specific thyroid hormone metabolism and thyroid hormone action to tissue pathophysiology in the skin, liver, heart, growth plate and skeletal muscle.

On June 17th, THYRAGE investigators Graham Williams and Duncan Bassett had the privilege of speaking at the 20th Annual Symposium of the Dutch Thyroid Research Foundation, which took place at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam. The meeting was a great success and attended by colleagues from Leiden including THYRAGE investigator Diana van Heemst and members of her laboratory.
